Nevada Partners in Flight Collaborative Meeting

  • Nevada Department of Wildlife 6980 Sierra Center Pkwy #120 Reno, NV 89511 (map)

We’re excited to announce an opportunity be part of the next Nevada Partners in Flight Meeting! Twice a year, biologists from across the state get together to discuss issues in bird conservation and how to work together across organizations to address them. This fall, a two-day event will bring together Partners in Flight members and the broader bird conservation community, including wildlife-focused NGOs, young professionals, and researchers. The meeting will focus on partnership-building, agency coordination, conservation planning, and collaborative discussions. There will also be training opportunities and field trips available. GBBO will also host a community banding demonstration on September 12th. All conference attendees are invited to attend the banding demonstration on a first-come, first-served basis.

Call for presentations

If you are interested in presenting on your work or experiences in bird conservation, please reach out with a topic including a title and one-paragraph synopsis to Kelly Colegrove (colegrove@gbbo.org) by August 15th. This is an excellent opportunity to share your research or interests with your local birding community, including land managers that can turn that information into actionable changes that help conserve birds! Presentations will be given in the afternoon sessions and can be given virtually if needed.

Additional details, including the agenda, will be provided upon registration.
