4-Day Bird Banding Workshop
Join Great Basin Bird Observatory for a four-day bird banding workshop designed for professional biologists and students interested in developing bird banding skills.
Participants will gain hands-on experience while learning the fundamentals of mist-netting, safe bird handling, banding techniques, aging and sexing birds, data collection, and banding ethics. This workshop provides the foundational bird handling skills needed to assist with bird banding and tagging projects operating under another researcher's federal bird banding permit.
Whether you're refining your field skills, expanding your professional experience, or exploring a career in wildlife biology, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn alongside conservation professionals.
