Ned’s gull ID sessions continue, with help from GBBO board member and fellow gull enthusiast, Paul Hurtado. These walks will occur throughout the winter on Saturdays. For this initial event we will meet at Virginia Lake, where we should be able to get up close and personal with both of Nevada’s most abundant regular gull residents, the California Gull and the Ring-billed Gull. We will emphasize specific field marks for these species at different ages, and introduce a general framework for identifying gulls, using the age of the gull as a starting point.
Meet us at the parking lot at the north end of Virginia Lake
