Join Ned Bohman from the Great Basin Bird Observatory for an easy bird walk at Galena Creek Park from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m., followed by a trivia session inside the Galena Creek Visitor Center, led by Alan Gubanich from Lahontan Audubon Society. Ned will emphasize the science of the birds of the Galena forest; each species has its own way of coping with harsh winters, and most species are preparing at this time of year. Refreshments will be available after the walk inside the visitor center, where Alan will conduct a 30-minute trivia presentation on the species seen (or not seen) on the walk. Prizes for the cleverest!
