Pinyon Jay Community Science - Bird Walk near Lockwood
Sat Apr 11th 7:30am - 11:30am
This is a bird walk to look for Pinyon Jays and practice using the Survey 123 app. Data will be added to the Pinyon Jay Community Hub. Ned and Kayla can review questions about the Pinyon Jay surveys. This is a great way to learn about these birds, meet volunteers who are helping us collect data, and to share stories about what's been seen in the field! New volunteers are welcome to join in.
Difficulty: Moderate. We will be walking on a dirt trail with an easy to moderate slope. Please bring sturdy hiking shoes, water, and sunscreen.
Leaders: Ned Bohman and Kayla Henry with the Great Basin Bird Observatory
We will carpool to the trailhead from the GBBO office.
