This pinyon-juniper site east of Death Valley supports at least 8 conservation priorities. In fact, 2 of the most abundant species on the site were Pinyon Jays and "Sage Sparrows.” Also, because this transect was last surveyed prior to the Sage Sparrow split into Sagebrush and Bell’s Sparrow, confirming which species is present would be valuable.
