Join Great Basin Bird Observatory and Northern Nevada Bird Alliance at the Galena Creek Visitor Center for a bird walk and presentation! Ned Bohman of the Great Basin Bird Observatory will lead the bird walk starting at 8:00 AM at the Visitor Center, and Alan Gubanich with the Northern Nevada Bird Alliance will host a presentation after the bird walk. Wild Turkeys are a surprisingly uncommon bird in Nevada, and enthusiasts are unlikely to see them anywhere in Washoe County. However, we can still enjoy many other bird species in the forests surrounding Galena Creek and talk about where you can go to see a turkey in Nevada.
