Get ready, GBBO is hosting the 5th annual Bird-a-thon this year! AND this year, all funds raised will go towards Desert Thrasher outreach and conservation! What’s a Bird-a-thon, you say? It’s a fundraiser for conservation, where the more birds you see, the more funds you can raise! Prizes are awarded for most funds raised and most species seen in Backyard and Big Day categories. You can register as a team or an individual, for the Big Day category or the Backyard category. Big Days are a single 24-hour period and Backyard teams keep a yard list for the full two weeks of the event. Don’t like your backyard? Adopt one for the Bird-a-thon! Live in an urban setting? Don’t worry, you will be competing against others registered in the urban yard category. The Nevada Bird-a-thon has something for everyone, experts and novices alike!
