Submitting Donations and Species Checklists:

  • Support the general Bird-a-thon: Donors can support the Bird-a-thon’s mission of raising funds for conservation science and education without pledging to a specific team! You also have the option to support one of Nevada’s local Audubon chapters with 10% of your donation.

  • Support a team: Donors can choose to support a specific team to help them reach their fundraising goal and become eligible for prizes. All teams will be raising funds to support the Bird-a-thon and also have the option to support a local Audubon chapter of their choosing with 10% of the donations they collect.

Alternatively, donations can be made by cash or check payable to Great Basin Bird Observatory. Participants are responsible for collecting all offline donations at the conclusion of the Bird-a-thon. We strongly encourage birders to e-mail a species checklist spreadsheet to outreach@gbbo.org , but will also accept checklists by mail.

Mail your completed checklist and donations to Great Basin Bird Observatory Attn Birdathon:  1755 E. Plumb Ln Ste 256A Reno, Nevada 89502 *All offline pledges and species lists are to be returned to GBBO and must be postmarked no later than May 21, 2024 to be counted towards awards.
